Metro Partners Donates to Love Runs Detroit

Metro Partners in Women’s Health recently donated 4 cases of feminine product to Love Runs Detroit!

Love Runs exists to raise awareness and help in the prevention in human trafficking and to provide rescue and restoration to victims.

“Every 30 seconds human trafficking claims a new victim. Children of all ages and backgrounds, from all demographics, urban and suburban alike, are being hijacked into a living hell of physical, sexual and emotional exploitation and torture. These children are typically coerced into the human trafficking network between the ages of 12 and 14 years old. Human trafficking is not just a global issue; it’s very prevalent in the United States. It’s also not just a big city problem. It’s an “in our own backyard” problem. In fact, the Metro Detroit area has a very high incident rate of human trafficking cases.

Love Runs provides resources to well established partner organizations that are in the trenches fighting for these victims here in Metro-Detroit, enabling them in their effort.Since Love Runs began in 2015, over $1.1 million has been raised through the team’s involvement with the Detroit Free Press Marathon series of events.
